Tiendschuur
Op het prachtige landgoed van kasteel Holtmühle (17e eeuw) ligt Keramiekcentrum Tiendschuur Tegelen. Dit kastelencomplex is als een van de weinigen in Nederland geheel bewaard gebleven met tiendschuur, kasteelpoorten, tuinen, vijvers en landerijen. Het is bijna 700 jaar oud en na een omvangrijke restauratie in 1993 is in het kasteel een hotel-restaurant gevestigd. Rondom het Château De Holtmühle zijn fraaie kasteeltuinen in diverse stijlen te bewonderen.
De pachters van de kasteelheer waren één-tiende van hun oogst verschuldigd. Deze werd opgeslagen in de tiendschuur (18e eeuw). In de fraaie gerenoveerde tiendschuur zijn Keramiekcentrum Tiendschuur Tegelen en het Keramisch Atelier (klaar september 2006) gevestigd.

In the beautiful grounds of The Holtmühle Castle(17th century) you will find Tiendschuur Tegelen Ceramic Centre. This castle complex is one of the few properties in The Netherlands which is still complete with its tithe barn, castle gates, gardens, ponds and land. It is almost 700 years old and was restored in 1993, when it became a hotel-restaurant. Around Château De Holtmühle are the beautiful castle gardens which are to be found in various styles.The farmers had to pay the owner of the castle a tithe from their harvest. This tithe was stored in the 18th century tithe barn. In the beautifully restored tithe barn, you will find the Tiendschuur Ceramic Centre and the ceramic workshop which was finished during September 2006.
